On June 12, 2026, the 2026 China–Vietnam Coffee Business Networking Conference was held at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. The event brought together senior government officials, industry associations, and a large number of coffee producers, processors, and import-export enterprises from both countries to explore cooperation opportunities, establish sustainable supply chain partnerships, and facilitate the flow of coffee beans through key border gateways.

Strengthening Supply Chain Connectivity and Enhancing the Value of Vietnamese Coffee

The conference continued in a dynamic atmosphere, featuring in-depth insights from representatives of industry associations from both countries. Mr. Li Gongli, Secretary General of the Yunnan Coffee Association, noted that China’s consumer market is experiencing a significant surge in coffee demand, particularly among younger consumers who favor instant and ready-to-drink roasted coffee products. He affirmed that the Association would play an active role in facilitating cooperation by providing information on standards and quotas, while connecting major Chinese distribution groups directly with reputable Vietnamese coffee exporters.

Responding to these expectations, Mr. Pham Thang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Coffee–Cocoa Association, shared that Vietnamese coffee growers and enterprises are strictly complying with international traceability and phytosanitary requirements. He expressed his hope that Chinese partners would strengthen joint ventures and transfer packaging technologies as well as deep-processing facilities closer to Vietnam’s coffee-growing regions. Such cooperation, he noted, would enable both sides to leverage their respective strengths and increase the value-added content of the coffee supply chain.
